You may have read recently about the horrific cases of cruelty in Gozo and the pressure that Gozo SPCA is currently experiencing due to lack of space.
The Gozo SPCA has been in constant negotiations with the Government to find a suitable plot of land to build more suitable premises they desperately require.
In the meantime, to try and help the Gozo SPCA re-home some of their many animals, the Gozo News will be featuring a weekly animal which is in need of such rehoming.
Charlie is the first animal we are featuring. He is a handsome tal-cacca cross pointer, and is about 3 years old. He has been with Gozo SPCA for nearly two years. Charlie is a very nervous with strangers. However with people he knows he is lovely, and may be better suited to an older family. He is happiest when he is out in the country, as he loves running free, and we know will make someone a great pet. He is being fostered outside the centre because of lack of space.
Charlie is of course just one of the many animals at Gozo SPCA who is looking for a new home. If you think you can help then the Gozo SPCA will be very happy to hear from you.
A gallery is also available which features all the animals that are currently in need of new homes, which may be viewed by clicking this link. http://www.spca-gozo.org/spca/spcadecgallery/index.htm
All of the Gozo SPCA animals are vaccinated, neutered and receive regular health checks.
You may contact the Gozo SPCA Animal Re-homing Centre on 2155 3769 or 9980 7067 or visit their website at www.spca-gozo.org.

I am a volunteer at Gozo SPCA and have known Charlie ever since the day he came into the SPCA centre. He is an absolute treasure and joy to be with and hope he finds the security and happiness he so needs.
